8. Taipei 101, Taiwan





Taiwan’s own native cuisines have become known around the world, if you try it just once you will remember it forever. Some people called Taiwan as a “Paradise for Taiwan Snacks”.....^^ Besides that, an icon of modern Taiwan is “Taipei 101”…..^^ When we talking the Taipei 101, everyone sure will know it is from Taiwan.

Taipei 101 is formerly known as the Taipei World Financial Center, is a landmark skyscraper located in Xinyi District, Taipei, Taiwan. This Tower ranked officially as the world’s tallest from 2004 until the opening of the Burj Khalifa in Dubai in 2010.  

Taipei 101 comprises 101 floors above ground and 5 floors underground. The tower designed to withstand typhoons and earthquakes. You can find a multi-level shopping mall inside the tower and there have hundreds of fashionable stores, restaurants, clubs and other attractions. It also is a good place for people shopping and enjoys their meals in the tower.

The attraction of Taipei 101 is……… the fireworks will show every year to count down for New Year’s Eve. It’s really beautiful, amazing, count down in a crowded people.

 This tuned mass damper (currently the largest in the world) is designed to protect Taipei 101 from typhoon winds and earthquakes.


Other special features for Taipei 101 are……..an indoor observatory (89th floor) and an outdoor observatory (91st floor). Both offer 360-degree views, its beautiful especially night view, you can take in the view of greater Taipei city.
